ISIS claims responsibility for the killing of five people and injuring 12 others with a car bomb outside a government building in Yemen.

The attack occurred in the port city of Aden early Wednesday morning.

The blast destroyed the Finance Ministry building, and damaged nearby houses and shops.

Many of the victims were said to be road workers who were doing construction on an unfinished area.

ISIS has reportedly conducted other attacks in the region.

Aden is the unofficial headquarters of the Saudi-backed government in Yemen after Houthi rebels took over Sanaa in 2014.
