NBC fires long time Today Show anchor Matt Lauer over sexual harassment allegations.

Lauer’s co-host Savannah Guthrie broke the news at the beginning of the show Wednesday morning.

In a memo to staff, NBC News chairman Andrew Lack said they received a detailed complaint from a colleague about alleged inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Lauer.

Lauer was one of the network’s highest paid talents, and had been with the Today Show since 1994.

His firing comes a week after CBS News fired Charlie Rose after several women accused him of sexual misconduct.
