Tax reform legislation is expected to take a major step forward as a full Senate vote is set for Thursday.
This comes after the Senate bill cleared a procedural hurdle Wednesday, and continues to gain support.
Senator John McCain announced that he will vote “yes” on the legislation.
In a statement he said while the bill is not perfect, he would support it because it will enhance American competitiveness, boost the economy, and provide relief for American families.
McCain is often a swing-vote in the Senate, and derailed efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare earlier this year.
His approval of the tax reform bill may give Republicans the crucial vote needed to pass the legislation.
