National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster speaks at the Reagan National Security Forum in Simi Valley, California, outlining aspects of President Trump’s foreign policy strategy moving forward.

The Lieutenant General noted similarities between the Trump and Reagan Administrations, including their tough stances toward rogue regimes during his speech on Saturday.

McMaster lashed out against countries threatening the United States, such as Iran and North Korea, noting, the era of strategic patience is over.

He also teased the release of President Trump’s national security strategy, which is set to be disclosed in the coming months.

“President Trump will soon unveil the details of his new strategy,” he said “But I can tell you now that it will focus on protecting our homeland, advancing American prosperity, preserving peace through strength – a phrase the origins of which won’t be lost on this audience, and finally, enhancing American influence.”

McMaster also praised President Trump for taking a firm stance against unfair trade and economic practices, which he says has disadvantaged America’s prosperity.
