Iraqi citizens take to the streets to celebrate victory over the Islamic State.

Locals expressed their confidence in their country as the costly war against ISIS is over.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi officially declared the country’s full liberation from the Islamic State over the weekend.

Residents of Baghdad held street rallies in support of the government and the country’s security forces.

Some say the Iraqi military still has a lot to do to prevent another uprising of radical Islamic terrorism.

Iraqi security forces re-captured the last ISIS-held town in the country last month, and are now focusing on clearing desert areas of any runaway militants.
