President Trump gives a speech during an RNC fundraiser in New York City after the Senate passed its version of the tax reform bill early Saturday morning.
The President appeared with RNC chairwoman Ronna Romney Mcdaniel on Saturday and called the Senates bill ‘the largest tax decrease in the history of our country by far’.
The reform bill is being labeled as the most crucial step forward for enacting tax overhaul legislation.
President Trump went on to say many democrats had left the senate floor before the vote even began, and said their actions against tax reform legislation will hinder their 2018 midterm election chances.
Meanwhile, GOP Senators celebrate their historic passage of tax legislation.
South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham calls the vote one of the most significant accomplishments by any republican congress in modern history.
Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee Orrin Hatch says the bill will help working families around the country.
Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton adds the passage means Americans are one step closer to having tax relief and Texas Senator Ted Cruz claims the bill is an investment in the country and economic well being.
