Democrat congressional candidate Conor Lamb declared victory in Pennsylvania’s closely watched House race.
However, the vote is still deemed too close to call by major pollsters.
During his self-declared victory speech early Wednesday morning, Lamb thanked his staff and supporters.
The candidate argued it will be impossible for rival Rick Saccone to catch-up to his lead given the razor-thin margins.
“We went everywhere, we talked to everyone, we invited everyone in, and we found that there is public support for programs like Social Security and Medicare that’s nearly universal because these programs are universal.” — Conor Lamb
Meanwhile, Republican candidate Rick Saccone has refused to concede until a final result is announced.
