Dozens of executives recently testified before government trade experts to discuss how Chinese business practices have impacted their operations.

Tuesday marked the first of a three-day hearing period, where the government trade panel asked companies for feedback on the president’s plan to impose tariffs on China.

Businesses relying on American resources argued the proposed $50 billion in tariffs would be positive in boosting American production.

However, opponents claimed tariffs could cost their businesses millions and would hurt consumers.

More than 120 businesses are set to air their concerns over the two-days of hearings.
