A left-wing watchdog group estimates 110 Confederate monuments have been taken down nationwide over the last three-years.
Monday’s figures from the Southern Poverty Law Center suggest about three monuments are removed from schools, parks and roadways each month.
Despite this, the report found more than 1,700 Confederate memorials still standing.
That number does not include historical sites such as museums and battlefields.
Protests to remove Confederate symbols gained momentum back in 2015 after nine worshipers at an African American church in Charleston, South Carolina were killed by a racially motivated gunman.
