Israel is set to participate in the largest international U.S.-led naval warfare exercises in Hawaii later this month.
The Israeli Defense Forces broke the news Sunday, marking the first time it’s navy will conduct maritime drills alongside 26 other nations.
The Rim of the Pacific Exercises, or RIMPAC, span from disaster relief and sea security to complex war-fighting and ocean commands.
This follows a recent statement from NATO’s secretary-general, where he said the alliance wouldn’t defend Israel from Iranian attacks amid rising tensions.
Participants will hold the live training games off the southern coast of Southern California and Hawaii between June 27 until August 2.
