President Trump is set to choose the next Drug Enforcement Administration chief and is expected to appoint a White House lawyer to the position.
The current Deputy White House Counsel Uttam Dhillon is likely to secure the spot as quickly as next week, according to reports.
This comes just two weeks after the current DEA Chief Robert Patterson announced his retirement.
Patterson allegedly said the role became more challenging to prioritize for the future.
President Trump is expected to make the announcement in the coming days.
