President Trump is making his stance on NAFTA clear, saying the agreement must be a fair deal or there will be no deal at all.
The White House sent a letter to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Thursday night, saying the days of America being taken advantage of are over.
The comments appear to come in response to Canada announcing a slew of new tariffs aimed at the U.S. in retaliation for U.S. import taxes on steel and aluminum.
Trudeau was originally scheduled to visit Washington, D.C. this week to begin finalizing details of the trade agreement.
However, the visit fell through after Trudeau opposed adding a sunset clause, which would make any new deal expire after five-years.
