President Trump Signs VA Mission Act

President Trump is standing up for our nation’s veterans by signing legislation to give them the freedom option to be seen by doctors outside the Veterans Affairs health care system.

During a White House ceremony Wednesday, the president officially signed the VA Mission Act to expand veterans’ access to private health care services.

In his address, he said our amazing veterans deserve better health care options and fast access to treatment.

He said the law will expand access to caregiver programs and walk-in clinics, while also helping to fight opioid addiction.

Lastly, the newly signed law will improve the transfer process of getting medical records from the Department of Defense to private hospitals.
