Republicans in Virginia are tapping a former Air Force officer and craft distillery owner to replace retiring Representative Tom Garrett.

On Sunday, multiple news outlets reported Denver Riggleman is the Republican nominee to compete for Virginia’s fifth congressional seat.

If elected, Riggleman would join the House Freedom Caucus, which Garrett is currently a member of.
