Puerto Rico declares a state of emergency, as Hurricane Beryl is set to impact the eastern Caribbean early next week.
Tropical storm Beryl officially developed into a category one hurricane with 75-mile-per hour winds Friday.
The system may gather a bit more strength, bringing heavy rain and winds to areas still recovering from category five Hurricane Maria last year.
The weather service is recommending those living in the area to keep track of its progress and take precautions if necessary.
Beryl is the first hurricane of the 2018 season.
