A new gun law in the ‘Garden State’ is being challenged by gun owners, who say they have been turned into criminals by the legislation.
This week the Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs — a division of the NRA — filed a motion against the state for alleged Second Amendment violations.
The controversial legislation outlaws gun magazines holding more than 10-rounds of ammunition.
However, the group said the law doesn’t include a grandfather provision for legal gun owners, essentially labeling veterans and former law enforcement officials as criminals.
The association’s lawyers are now asking the court for an injunction to block the law until the lawsuit is resolved.
