The Senate is reportedly putting together a proposal aimed at encouraging small businesses to reform securities markets.
According to reports, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has committed to voting on a legislative package he calls the Jobs Act 3.0.
The proposal would ease financial securities laws for small businesses, and would lessen regulatory restrictions on public companies.
The bill is being constructed to secure the support of enough Senate Democrats to pass.
Republicans say they are willing to negotiate to add more regulatory relief into the legislation in the coming months.
