Several British military officials are expressing their support for President Trump and his foreign policy agenda.
Nine former commanders of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces said the president is right by saying many NATO member states have been free-riding on U.S. defense spending.
The generals, including former Joint Forces Commander Sir Richard Barrons, urged Prime Minister Theresa May to boost the U.K.’s military spending as well.
The officials made their joint statement in a half-page ad in the U.K’s main newspaper — The Times.
They also called for an overhaul of the Royal Armed Forces.
