The U.S. Secret Service is rolling out new guidelines to prevent future school shootings.
Officials say the step-by-step guide is intended to identify troubled students before they launch a targeted attack.
The agency says the guide will help set up a threat assessment program in schools, which will identify concerning behavior and how to intervene before a shooting happens.
The guide recommends schools create threat assessment teams, which include counselors, teachers and administrators who would meet regularly to learn how to function smoothly in a crisis.
