A military exercise in Iran comes to a halt, after attackers open fire, killing at least 24 people.
The incident happened Saturday, in the country’s southern region, bordering Iraq.
At least 53 people, including women and children, were injured in the attack, which was carried out by gunmen disguised as military members.
One man who was shot in the incident said, the attackers did not seem to have specific targets, but fired randomly into the crowd.
Officials said the gunmen were terrorists, but so far, no specific group has come forward to claim responsibility.
