Nikki Haley responds to the conviction of two Reuters reporters in Myanmar, calling the situation an atrocity.
The Ambassador to the UN told the Washington Examiner the sentences were “another terrible stain on the Burmese government.”
The two journalists were sentenced to seven years in prison for allegedly illegally obtaining government documents.
However, they say they were framed by state police.
Haley says the U.S. will continue to call for their immediate release.
