A Kentucky congressman has high hopes President Trump’s visit to the state will give him a boost in the closely watched race for the sixth district.
The president will hold a campaign style rally Saturday in Richmond, Kentucky, alongside Republican incumbent Andy Barr.

This marks President Trump’s third rally in the state, since announcing his presidential campaign three years ago.
Barr’s campaign has thanked the president for reaching out, as the lawmaker remains locked in a close battle with Democrat challenger Amy McGrath.
The pair have been neck-and-neck in the polls leading up to November. Barr said a vote for his opponent, would be a vote for Nancy Pelosi’s liberal agenda.
President Trump is also expected to welcome pastor Andrew Brunson to the White House Saturday, after helping to secure his release from Turkey.
Brunson will head to D.C. after receiving a medical checkup in Germany first.
