A Colorado man learns his fate after admitting to killing his pregnant wife and two daughters.
A judge handed-down 33-year-old Christopher Watts multiple life sentences without parole today, after he pleaded guilty to 9 felony counts.
He also received additional years for killing his unborn child, and tampering with evidence.
Watts claims he strangled his wife following an argument over his affair, and then smothered their daughters.
Prosecutors removed the death penalty from the negotiating table in-exchange for his guilty plea.
Frank Rzucke, Watts’s father-in-law and father of his wife, testified emotionally during the hearing, telling his son-in-law, “you may have taken their bodies from me, but you will never take the love they had for me away.”
The judge said this is the most inhumane and vicious crime he has ever handled, and added Watts deserved nothing less than the maximum sentence.
