A federal agent is pleading not guilty to ruining an FBI investigation after engaging in a romantic relationship with a person of interest.
NCIS agent Leatrice Bruhl-Daniels reportedly exchanged emails with a suspected Syrian terrorist which expressed her feelings for him, and her plans to help him obtain his U.S. Visa, court records show.
Bruhl-Daniels is accused of obstructing justice after she allegedly warned her lover about a fraud investigation involving him and three others.
U.S. prosecutors are now seeking to extradite the suspect while the former-agent is released on bond while she awaits trial.
