Police officers in Kentucky take to Twitter on the last day of 2018 to poke a little fun at an old stereotype.
On Monday the Lexington Police Department posted photos of officers sarcastically grieving in front of a Krispy Kreme doughnut truck that had caught fire, with the caption “No words.” The post is a nod to stereotype that law enforcement officers have an obsession with doughnuts.
We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Your brothers and sisters in Massachusetts are here for you during these tough times.

The photos have since gone viral with more than 5,000 shares and more than 18,000 likes. The tweet even got responses from other police departments sharing their condolences.
The truck was empty at the time the time of fire and no injuries were reported.
