After nearly three-months of testimonies, a New York jury has finally reached a verdict in the U.S. trial of Mexican drug lord ‘El Chapo.’
On Tuesday, a jury in Brooklyn found Joaquin Guzman guilty of all 10 counts of drug trafficking after six-days of deliberations.
He was accused of smuggling at least 200 tons of cocaine into the U.S., and being behind a wave of turf war killings.
The evidence included testimony from over 56 witnesses, including 14 from his crew in hopes of reducing their own prison sentences.
The 61-year-old, who infamously escaped from a Mexican prison twice, now faces life behind bars
